Construction Momentum Continues at the Kalamazoo Event Center

Construction at the Kalamazoo Event Center continues to move forward at an exciting pace, with major progress now visible across the site.

Inside the building, key spaces are taking shape as all structural steel has been set for the hockey and basketball offices and locker rooms, clearly defining important team areas. In addition, the concrete deck for the two practice basketball courts has been placed, bringing those spaces one step closer to completion. With temporary walls now in place, interior construction is underway year-round, allowing crews to begin forming permanent rooms that will support athletes, staff, and guests.

Work outside the arena is also gaining momentum. Parking deck construction continues, with hundreds of precast pieces already installed as the structure rises alongside the main building. With more than 130 workers on-site, the Kalamazoo Event Center is steadily becoming a reality.
