Join us Friday, September 26, 2025, for a free community celebration as we break ground on the future of downtown Kalamazoo!
From 5–7 PM, Water Street outside the Radisson will come alive with live music, pep performances, food trucks, interactive fan activities, arena renderings, and special appearances from the K-Wings, WMU student-athletes, and coaches.
Don’t miss this festival-style block party marking a historic milestone for our community!

What food and beverage options will be available?
Food and beverage options will be available for purchase. Food trucks will be on-site during the event, but we also encourage you to stop by a local restaurant before or after the celebration! Plus, the event is located in the Social District, so you can grab a drink from a participating location and enjoy it while you celebrate with us!
What is the schedule of events?
The celebration kicks off at 5pm with entertainment and giveaways, followed by a pep rally with coaches and players starting at 6pm. Stick around after for a DJ set to keep the energy going!
